Craft Club

You asked – we listened! Our sewing classes have been so much fun that our crafters want to get together once a week for a night out. Bring whatever you are working on – sewing, needle-work, card-making, scrapbooking – and enjoy a fun, social night out sharing ideas and crafting in the company of others! Wednesdays, October 18 through December 13. 6-8pm. Registration: $35 for 8-wk session or $5 per drop-in.

In session one of this class, you will be guided through the process of how to become a notary, professional associations available and some of the ways people are making a living using this skill. In session two, following your review of the handbook for homework, we will address questions and complete the application and open-book test. You will leave ready to be certified by your town clerk. Sweater Mittens

There’s nothing like a cozy pair of homemade mittens when it’s cold outside. Repurpose that favorite old sweater into sweater mittens lined with fleece! Knowledge of basic sewing techniques and a sewing machine will be needed (contact us if you need to use one of ours). You will be able to complete a pair of adult mittens by the end of this two-hour class. Tuesday, December 5, 6-8pm. Registration: $10.

Material List:  An adult size wool sweater with ribbed cuffs and waistband. Wash sweater with detergent and dry it to shrink the fibers and make the wool felt. The more felted the wool the warmer the mittens will be. 1/4 of a yard of fleece (for lining mittens) thread to match sweater color, pins and scissors. Sewing machine patterns will be supplied at class.
